Rural Business Victories in Lower Delaware
Delaware SBDC helped 21 businesses start in rural Southern Delaware in 2020. In addition, Delaware SBDC helped businesses in rural communities access $8.4 million in capital.

iDEa Lab Accelerator Launches its First Cohort in 2020
Delaware SBDC's accelerator program will help businesses over an 8-week period using the "So What? Who Cares? Why You?" methodology, an internationally approved process that transcends traditional lectures/customer discovery methods and immerses small businesses in hands-on workshops that emphasize "learning-by-doing". The program will help entrepreneurs move their innovations closer to commercialization and prepare them to commercialize technical innovations using SBIR grant funds.
Foresee Pharmaceuticals enters exclusive license agreement with Chinese company
Eight years of SBDC support paid off. Foresee entered into an exclusive license agreement with GenScience Pharmaceuticals for the commercialization of their novel FP-001 program. The license agreement covers the China market. Foresee, a US-based biopharmaceutical company, will receive $8 million upfront, and a combination of regulatory, technology transfer, and commercialization milestone payments totaling up to $123.85 million, in addition to a share of the product revenue in the territory.
Millennial Summit Draws Delaware Youth to Entrepreneurship
