America’s SBDCs help make the dream of small business ownership a reality for more Americans — creating jobs and opportunities that build communities throughout the nation.

The trust that our Wyoming SBDC Network colleagues generate in their interactions with our remote Startup Challenge clients on the Wind River Indian Reservation is the difference between a successful company and a failed one.

Creating Trade Opportunities for Wyoming
Wyoming SBDC Network International Trade Expert John Privette actively participated on the Wyoming Business Council export team providing international trade assistance for the Asia Pacific Trade Office in Taipei, Taiwan.
Bringing a Fresh Perspective to Downtown Business
Danica and Andy Mrozinsky worked with the Wyoming SBDC Network to purchase an existing music store in Cheyenne. The Wyoming SBDC Network assisted the Mrozinskys with a business plan, financial projections, business valuation, and preparing a loan application package. "We believe we can stand out and offer something else to the Cheyenne community other than a place to get instruments, Danica says. "With our youth and fresh ideas, we believe we can provide what the community of Cheyenne deserves."
The Phase 0 allowed us to purchase supplies for preliminary beta testing, the results of which will significantly strengthen our upcoming Phase I proposal.

Pivoting to Success Amid a Pandemic
Snowy Elk Coffee Co. is a specialty coffee roastery in Cheyenne. Scott and Julie Gondzar worked with the Wyoming SBDC Network in 2018 for business strategy assistance and help to successfully pitch for debt-financing. Even though COVID-19 seriously impacted wholesale distribution, their e-commerce sales boomed thanks to continued assistance from the Wyoming SBDC Network. Their sales grew so much that they expanded into a commercial building to accommodate a larger roaster and other equipment.
